Skill training is being imparted to the job seekers through Skill providers. The details of skill providers available in Theni district are stated below:

A stipend of Rs.100/- per day to be disbursed to the trainees for transportation charges.
Free skill training is being imparted to job seekers in the above trades. From 23.03.2017 to 30.05.2017, free skill training in the trade “Basic Sewing Operator” was imparted to 19 beneficiaries through REAL SOCIETY TRAINING CENTRE, KAILASAPATTI, PERIYAKULAM TALUK. 80% of cost Rs.49,400/- (Rupees Forty nine thousand and four hundred) against stipend and Rs.1,35,430/- (Rupees One lakh thirty five thousand four hundred and thirty only) was disbursed to the trainees and the service provider respectively by District Employment Office, Theni. The rest of 20% amount will be disbursed after providing placement to 70% of the trainees.
At present, the payment is directly disbursed by Tamilnadu Skill Development Corporation authorities, Chennai.
PRIVATE JOB FAIR
Every month, a private job fair is being conducted in the premises of District Employment Office, Theni for the benefit of job seekers under the guidelines of respected District Collector. Wide publicity is being given through daily news papers about the job fairs conducted.
During January 2018 and February 2018, two job fairs were conducted in the premises of District Employment Office, Theni on 31.01.2018 and 28.02.2018 respectively. Two employers were participated and 43 candidates selected and appointed in private sectors.
MEGA PRIVATE JOB FAIR
In G.O.Ms.No.118, Labor and Employment (R1) Department, dated 12.06.2017, instructions are issued to conduct one Mega Job Fair in each quarter under the guidelines of respected District Collector concerned.
As per the instructions contained in the above G.O., a Mega Job Fair was conducted by the District Administration and District Employment Office on 15.10.2017 at Theni Kammavar Sangam Arts and Science College, Koduvilarpatti, Theni. 1750 job seekers attended the Mega Job Fair and 70 Private Sector Employers participated. 150 job seekers were selected and appointed in various private sectors. The Hon’ble Tamilnadu Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated the function and presented the appointment orders to the selected candidates. The Hon’ble Minister for Labour and Employment and Director of Employment and Training were participated and delivered special address for the benefit of the job seekers.
The second Mega Job Fair is proposed to conduct on 17.03.2018 or 24.03.2018 under the guidelines of the respected District Collector, Theni at C.P.A., College, Bodinayakanur. The Hon’ble Tamilnadu Deputy Chief Minister has given consent to inaugurate the function.
