ELECTIONS – 2019
The Election Commission of India has announced General Elections to the Lok Sabha 2019 and By-Elections for 18 Assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu on 10.03.2019. In this regard, the district of Theni is about to face elections for the following constituencies.

ELECTION CONTROL ROOM
A control room has been formed in the District Election Office cum District Collectorate. To lodge complaints and to receive any election related information, toll free numbers viz 18005997320 and 1950 have been formed. A dedicated app called cVIGIL has been launched by Election Commission for lodging complaints related to electoral malpractices.
POLLING STAFF
For the 2019 General Elections to Loksabha for 33.Theni Parliamentary constituency, 10,092 Polling Station Staff (PO, PO1, PO2, PO3, PO4, PO5 and Addl.PO) and 250 micro observers are about to be posted.

33 – Theni Parliamentary Constituency contains 6 Assembly constituencies viz – 198.Andipatti, 199.Periyakulam (SC), 200.Bodinaickanur and 201.Cumbum in Theni District and 190.Sholavandan (SC) and 197.Usilampatty in Madurai district. There are 1783 Polling stations in these six constituencies and they are located in 861 Polling Station Locations (PSL).
